DUNE ALLEN BEACH

General Overview
Dune Allen Beach is among the early establishments on the Gulf of Mexico along Scenic Highway 30A. Its communities, which include proper neighborhoods and other diffuse residential areas, are approximately 16 miles east of Destin and 35 miles west of Panama City Beach in Northwest Florida. Dune Allen Beach is a simple, slow-paced beach community.
Architecture
Dune Allen Beach runs the gamut of architectural styles. Vizcaya at Dune Allen is a strictly Mediterranean-style gated neighborhood on the Gulf of Mexico whose homes are finished in white stucco and red tile roofs. Stallworth Preserve in nearby Beach Highlands is another gated beach-front neighborhood whose neo-classical homes are a mix of Mediterranean and British Colonial styles. Those neighborhoods in between feature predominantly Florida cottage-style homes with colorful clapboard siding and metal roofs.
Amenities
Dune Allen Beach and nearby Beach Highlands are home to Lake Stallworth, Lake Allen and Oyster Lake, three of the 11 coastal dune lakes along the beaches of South Walton, and among the 15 found along the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida. These rare bodies of water are found only in Northwest Florida and remote portions of Africa and Australia.
One of the most popular restaurants on 30A resides in Dune Allen Beach. Though the name may fool those who have not enjoyed Stinky’s Fish Camp it is one of the newest and most recommended dining establishments on 30A.
Real Estate
Dune Allen Beach consits of single family homes and home sites as well as some smaller condominium projects on the beach. Dune Allen Beach is a great option for buyers interested in beach-front property that does not belong to an association with fees or who are interested in controlled communities without the presence of a town center.
