GRAYTON BEACH

General Overview
Grayton Beach is to be thanked for the evolution of an unsuspecting stretch of beach along the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida into a vibrant corridor of unique beach communities along Scenic Highway 30A. Grayton Beach was the first community established on what is now 30A. Time seems to have stood still in Grayton Beach, preserving a historic charm found nowhere else along the beaches of South Walton. Grayton Beach is approximately 23 east of Destin and 29 miles west of Panama City Beach in Northwest Florida.
Architecture
Grayton Beach is a funky melting pot where every style of architecture is accepted and where many of them are expressed and on occasion, created. Quaint beach cottages rest beside modern beach homes. Both are designed to appreciate and enjoy the unique coastal landscape.
Amenities
Grayton Beach offers many local treasures for owners and guests to enjoy. The famous Red Bar is one of the most popular destinations on 30A for fun and casual food, drinks and live music. Grayton Beach State Park preserves a stretch of beach along the Gulf of Mexico and much of the shoreline surrounding Western Lake. Western Lake is the largest of 11 coastal dune lakes along the beaches of South Walton, and one of 15 found along the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida. These bodies of water are found only in Northwest Florida and remote portions of Africa and Australia. A public dock on Western Lake makes boating and fishing possible.
Real Estate
Grayton Beach offers buyers single family homes and home sites, as well as town homes close to the beach.
