SEAGROVE BEACH

General Overview

Seagrove Beach is so named because of the thick grove of Oak trees that grow along the beach of the Gulf of Mexico there. Seagrove Beach is approximately 25 miles east of Destin and 29 miles west of Panama City Beach in Northwest Florida. Along with Grayton Beach, Seagrove Beach is one of the earliest settlements along what is now Scenic Highway 30A.

Architecture
Seagrove Beach is not defined by any particular architectural style. Original concrete-block Florida beach cottages still stand among more recent homes that include their modern interpretations as well as gated neighborhoods such as Jasmine Dunes, some of whose homes feature a Greek-Revival flare, and Palmeira Villas whose homes take on a Mediterranean appearance. There is something for everyone in Seagrove Beach.

Amenities
Seagrove Beach is a colorful community with many unique boutique shops, fun casual eateries as well as some of the finest dining on 30A, such as the popular Café Thirty-A and Old Florida Fish House.

Seagrove Beach is home to Eastern Lake, one of 11 coastal dune lakes along the beaches of South Walton, and among the 15 found along the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida. These rare bodies of water are found only in Northwest Florida and remote portions of Africa and Australia.

Real Estate
Seagrove Beach offers single family homes, home sites, town homes and condominium projects that include two of the three high-rise towers on Scenic Highway 30A, One Seagrove Place and BeachCrest, built prior to the current four-story height restriction. One Seagrove Place offers some of the least expensive opportunities to live directly on the beach along 30A.
